27. Who is the strongest leader of feminism in Japan?

Chizuko Ueno is a Japanese sociologist and Japan's "best-known feminist".
Her research field includes feminist theory, family sociology, and women's history. She is best known for her contribution to gender studies in Japan.

28. Is there any actress who advocate about Feminism?

Beyonce, Emma Watson, Ariana Grande, and so many famous celebrities have spoken out for women's rights and gender equalities.

29. What does younger people think about the word "feminism" in common.

According to Jenny Kutner's blog, young people generally agree we have a ways to go before achieving gender equality, and seem to think feminism will help achieve that end. Still, they're not interested in calling themselves feminists. 


30. Does Japan do any movements on women's discrimination?

There are some groups for example "特定非営利活動法人日本フェミニストカウンセリング学会 " who supports women in Japan.

Our current thinking

Hello! We're sorry to change the order of posting. We're going to talk about our current thinking about feminism before starting a research. To be honest, we haven't known about feminism anything since we started this blog. We couldn't explain even the concept of the "feminism" clearly.  We assume feminism is not so familiar to many people in Japan. When we did a small discussion in our class, many of our classmates answered they didn't know a lot as well. However, it's time to know and think about feminism because we think it is closely related to human rights in a broad sense. In other words, in order to establish women's right, we have to respect not only women but also men. However, we have one question. Is it really good for us to make everything equal between men and women in every kind of situation? What exactly does it mean to establish women's right? There were 7 Japanese people who have answered my survey thankfully. Now these are some question and results from my survey! Q.3 Do you think that women are treated fairly in society? I thought this was the good ratio because in these days women are able to work as same as men. However, there are still some thoughts that men is stronger than women in the society.  Q4. Do you think that both genders are entitled to the same social, economic, and political rights? I was surprised that nobody had answered "No".
