This is a web site that is consisted of feminist blog written by more than a dozen editors, columnists, and interns. There are diverse in this blog's writers in terms of race, gender, class background and geography. We can read a broad range of blogs about intersectional feminist issues, such as campus sexual violence, transgender rights, reproductive justice. Additionally, they also have many blogs that analyze the current situation related to feminism in terms of pop culture or media. They are trying to inspire young people and giving the ways to take an concrete action in order to make "real-world feminist change."
So, How this web site is good for us? We have three reasons.
1. The purpose of the website is clear.
We can easily understand the theme of their blogs from their clear title and explanation about theirselves in "ABOUT FEMINISTING" section.
2. This site can inspire and attract people.
Design is not only simple and easy to understand but also sophisticated. We can read their blogs without hesitating because they don't seem to difficult. Their design, title and structure are very attractive for a readers especially young people. Even if readers don't know about feminism a lot, they can have an interest.
3. It's reliable and possible to contact with writers easily.
We think it is so important. Even though online blogs are useful to get to know many opinions of various kind of people, generally its reliability is questionable because we don't know what kind of people write. It means we don't know the person who posts an opinion, age, sex, geography and so on. On the other hands, in Feministing, we can know about each writers so easily and it's reliable. Each blogs contain the biography of writers, photograph of their face and their SNS account on the bottom of pages. Through it, we can check more opinions or activities of writers we have an interest and also can contact with them directly.
