Feminism from various perspectives--- Feminist Majority Foundation

Feminism is the concept that has been discussed by many people for a long time and there are so many perspectives about it. Today, I'll introduce one perspective about feminism in Feminist Majority Foundation's voice. Feminist Majority Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in Virginia, the US in 1987. Our name came from a data of Gullup public opinion poll that showed the majority of American women (actually it was 56%) were self-identified as feminists.
We have been working on various kinds of campaign or events related to women's right such as abortion, education equality and so on. Additionally, we became the publisher of the American liberal feminist magazine Ms. We define the concept of feminism as the policy, practice or advocacy of political, economic and social equality for women. We believe women should be empowered economically, socially, and politically. However, feminism is not for only women but also men. In our opinion, both women and men are the majority and should be equally empowered.
