Hello!
We had a final presentation that introduces the result of our surveys and NPO we made in the class. Today, I'm going to share about it with you.

Firstly, I'll introduce our NPO briefly.
NAME: 
Feminis-march
 "march" means proceed or advance. We came up with this name with our goal that is to advance feminism or gender equality in Japan.

GOAL&MISSION STATEMENT:
・To advance gender equality, and empower both men and women 
・To change the stereotype about “Feminism” and spread the concept for Japanese people, especially for younger generation.
・To make Japanese people not only women but also men think what is gender equality through “Feminism”

PROJECT
1.Sharing various information all related to feminism, gender issues through our website, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
   →news, columns, or opinions from many people
ex) Questionnaire on Twitter
      ・Do you agree with women’s only train?
      ・Have you ever felt gender inequality 
　　   in your workplace?
→We’ll share results on Twitter, and Webpage with our analysis. 

2.Holding some events that attracts public interest to know more about feminism and think more about gender equality.
   → Talk event, Music live. . . etc
Looking for sponsoring company and inviting popular entertainer.

Trough our Webpage, Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.

Next, I'll show you some feedback from our classmates!
・Introducing video was great.
・Mission and goal are clear to understand.
・The name "Feminis-march" was interesting.
・Such a movement can have a big power in the future.
・Survey result showed the accurate situation in Japan.
・Speak more fluently.
・Powerpoint should be more catchy with more pictures.

Additionally, as for question" How interested would you be in joining this group if it really existed?" on the feedback paper, 4 out of 15 answered " I'm not so interested in and don't want to join."
I think we have to try hard to change such a people's mind!!

Hello! We're sorry to change the order of posting. We're going to talk about our current thinking about feminism before starting a research. To be honest, we haven't known about feminism anything since we started this blog. We couldn't explain even the concept of the "feminism" clearly.  We assume feminism is not so familiar to many people in Japan. When we did a small discussion in our class, many of our classmates answered they didn't know a lot as well. However, it's time to know and think about feminism because we think it is closely related to human rights in a broad sense. In other words, in order to establish women's right, we have to respect not only women but also men. However, we have one question. Feminism from various perspectives--- Feminist Majority Foundation

Hello!  Feminism is the concept that has been discussed by many people for a long time and there are so many perspectives about it. Today, I'll introduce one perspective about feminism in Feminist Majority Foundation's voice.  Feminist Majority Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in Virginia, the US in 1987. Our name came from a data of Gullup public opinion poll that showed the majority of American women (actually it was 56%) were self-identified as feminists. We have been working on various kinds of campaign or events related to women's right such as abortion, education equality and so on. Additionally, we became the publisher of the American liberal feminist magazine Ms.  We define the concept of feminism as  the policy, practice or advocacy of political, economic and social equality for women.  We believe women should be empowered economically, socially, and politically.  However, feminism is not for only women but also men.
